Did follow the suggestion made in the last comment? That is a correct configuration for a PostgreSQL database.

    Hope this answers your question!

    Hi ,

I have downloaded jbilling-community-4.1.1 and I have installed JAVA 1.8 and Postgree Sql9.3. Then I have changed "jbilling-DataSource.groovy" for postgree sql database (attached here also).
But after running startup.bat , http://localhost:8080/ page is opened but http://localhost:8080/jbilling/signup page can not open.
I have attached console of tomcat where some exceptions are showing.

Can you please guide to solve this problem..

The error is clear: Connection; nested exc

eption is java.sql.SQLException: An attempt by a client to checkout a
    Connection has timed out.

Can you share your DataSource.groovy file after your changes?

    Web Data.

is your postgres local server lestining on 5432 port on localhost
check your pg_hba conf file , and to be sure try to connect to this server
using psql client or pgadmin using localhost and not

PostgreSQL is on local server on port 5432

    pg_hba is as follows :
    # IPv4 local connections:
    host all all trust
    # IPv6 local connections:
    host all all ::1/128 trust

I am able to connect to postgre using 'localhost'.

    Some more info:

    JDK 1.8.0_172
    Grails 3.3.6
    Groovy 2.4.15
    Postgre 10.4

Apparently, Postgre has its own Apache Tomcat embedded client which was blocking port 8080. So I had to stop this instance of apache and now log reads (see attached files). Cant connect to postgre.

You have to configure your server to login using password and not trust in
    the pg_hba file
The be sure that this user 'jbilling'exist and authorized to authenticate
himself on this server from localhost using password

Thinkvyou have to change md5 otherwise trust...

I was able to get to the login screen.

I had to copy the posgresql jar file to /webapps/jbilling/WEB-INF/lib/

Now, there are no companies so can't login.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can run the init-db script , or i think there is a signup screen ,
try /signup path ... then you can create your first user and first company

Quite similar problem here with Postgresql.
    I have windows 10 and jre 1.8, incl. Postgresql 10 (64bit).

    What I did:
Created a new database with pgAdmin 4 (web interface)
    dbname: jbilling_test
    username: jbillinguser
    pwd: jbillingpwd

    I changed the pg_hba.conf into:

    # IPv4 local connections:
    host all all trust
    # IPv6 local connections:
    host all all ::1/128 trust

    Then I downloaded the
    Extracted under C:\jbilling-community-4.1.1\

Then I moved the second c3po jar into a temp file name. c3p0- into c3p0-

But does not help here, still got the same errors like above, refer to attachments.

Any hints to get the version 4.1.1 running?

    Many thanks
